SEASONAL PRODUCTION ASSISTANT

TIME & HOURS: OCT-JAN Between Monday - Friday (9-6pm)
LOCATION: Wichita, KS
WAGE: Competitive pay and negotiable based on experience.

JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a skilled individual to join our team. The ideal candidate is a positive individual, who takes initiative and is detail oriented, enjoys working with the public and has a friendly & outgoing personality. This position is responsible for creating high-quality bath salts and soaps according to established recipes and procedures along with labeling and packaging products.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes to create bath salts and soaps.

  • Operate equipment used in the production process, such as mixers, blenders, and scales.

  • Ensure that all equipment is clean and properly maintained.

  • Follow established procedures to ensure the quality and consistency of finished products.

  • Package finished products for shipment or sale.

  • Keep accurate records of ingredients used and finished products produced.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in bath product making.

  • Assisting walk-in customers with sales

  • Labeling finished products

DAILY ACTIVITIES: (include, but are not limited to)

  • Answering the phone with business etiquette

  • Customer service support for retail shop

  • Mix ingredients according to strict recipes

  • Produce bath goods like bath salts and bar soap

  • Bending and reaching

  • Climbing a ladder

  • Packing product into boxes or bags

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Sales cashier experience

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and procedures precisely.

  • Good organizational skills and ability to keep accurate records.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Good communication skills and ability to take direction from supervisors.

  • Knowledge of natural ingredients and their properties is a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Have strong attention for detail, eye/hand coordination, and accuracy

  • Able to work in a fast-paced production environment and prioritize tasks

  • Low sensitivity to highly fragranced work environment.
